IMPORTANT: Workout Schedule and Guide

Happy Monday everyone!

Workouts will start this week on Wednesday!

Here is the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1xrhsmQWS21t3LRtja9a3QDKTqO9KJA_S/view?usp=sharing for the workout log that you will need to PRINT out and fill out weekly. You will be turning in these workout logs on the first day of open gym in January.

I have also attached a workout guide link with pictures. Here is the link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1HaB0d16zAeXTdY_rt7aVsEPP_w0lWmN7/view?usp=sharing Please make sure you also print this sheet out and look it over. Doing each workout properly is going to be very important during your training time. If you have questions about "how to" properly do these workouts I am happy to answer any questions you might have. Please reply to this email with questions.

Ladies, I am expecting for each of you interested in trying out this season to participate in these workouts and complete your logs. So please reach out to me any time if you need help or have questions. I have started a group instagram chat that the coaches will keep in touch with the group to stay connected and so each of you feel supported.

If you have not purchased your bands you will want to do this no later than today. I have attached the link again below.

Parents, you will see on their workout logs that they will need a parents initials at the end of each week. This is to help them stay accountable since we will not be doing groups this year. I appreciate your help keeping your athlete motivated and moving over the next 2 months. Feel free to join them during their workouts!

Here are my expectations:
  1. Print out the 2 attachments
  2. Plan out the week
  3. Do your best
  4. Ask questions when needed
  5. Have fun!

Each workout is no longer than 30minutes each day. Before starting your workouts, print each page out, review them, ask questions if needed, if not questions are needed then plan to start on Wednesday.

Let's make it the best year in 2021!

MMHS Pre-Season Training Email

Ladies,

With the holiday season approaching, the MMHS softball pre-season training will start shortly. Unfortunately with COVID cases being high we are unable to train until January. In the meantime there will be at home workouts leading up to our in person training in January. I do understand that most of you do not have access to softball nets, balls, and necessary equipment to keep your swings moving during the winter season. So as a solution we will be doing at home workouts to get us ready and keep us moving until we can come together again. Workouts will start the 3rd week of November and I have added some links for the equipment that you will need to get started. I highly recommend getting online and placing your order to give yourself enough time to be prepared to start our training sessions. If you are currently going to the gym, these workouts can be completed that way as well.

Here are the workout bands you will need to get started:

If the lowest band weight at 10lbs is too heavy for you, you can work up to this and I do recommend buying a 5lb resistance band and have added a link below.

If you already have resistance bands at home then you are more than welcome to use what you already have. You are also welcome to shop for your own workout bands if you like. You will need a minimum resistance weight of 10lbs.

Workouts will be sent through this group email alongside a link to a workout log you will need to print off and track your workouts. This workout log will need a parent's final sign off, this is not to make parents babysitters but to encourage athlete accountability. If you do not have an Instagram account I will be sending an email outline of what the schedule, workouts, and expectations will be. I will also be communicating through Instagram to keep everyone informed.

You will be asked to keep your resistance bands on you during the softball season and we will be using them throughout the season.

At this time you will need to complete these workouts individually and not in groups due to the COVID restrictions that we are currently under. I think that if we can stay compliant through our training and season we can keep everyone safe, healthy and keep our season from getting interrupted.

I am extremely hopeful that we will get to have a season this year. Myself and the coaching staff are very excited to get things rolling. Our goal as a coaching staff is to make sure all of the athletes have fun, work hard, and come together as a team to have the best season possible.

Please respond to this email if you have questions regarding the upcoming pre-season training.

Go Eagles!
