Please bring your own water and do not share with other athletes. If you can bring a small hand sanitizer daily that would be helpful as well. While you are in the field house please spit out your gum and there is NO FOOD OR GUM allowed in the facility

WORKOUT SCHEDULE

  1. 1 mile 2x's a week

  2. 3 x's a week, bodyweight workout

Workout: (4 rounds)

1 min Burpees (Jump, pushup all the way to the ground, and back up)
1 min break
1 min Pushups (all the way down to your stomach, release hands, push back up)
1 min break
1 min Air squats into a lunge (squat then do a standing lung-lung out and kick leg back to standing, then opposite leg)
1 min break
1 min Sit ups (you can have a partner holding your feet, all the way up and all the way down)
1 min break

Start over and repeat the workout 4 times to complete the workout (40 mins total)

Ladies,

Those of you who would like to help these leaders are more than welcome. As a leader you will be responsible for checking in with your groups to make sure they are accountable over the break, provide support, answer questions, and schedule workouts together. You can work out with whoever you would like to. If you prefer to workout alone then that is completely okay as well.

I recommend working out in groups even if it is a scheduled time and day from home together or separate. Also, schedule your 1 mile twice a week in a group to meet at the high school track, this way you are all working together to get it done. Make it fun and take the time to be good teammates. Workouts are a great time to help motivate each other to get each week's workouts completed.

Please log your workouts and submit each week by the end of the week.




Pitching workout: (optional additional workouts for pitchers)


Monday: Core and Leg Strength

  • Warm Up (fastball only)
  • 50 Bucket Drill Pitches
    * Each pitch must be a strike in order to move to the next
  • 5 Fastball High and Up
  • 10 Sit ups
  • 5 Fastball High and In
  • 10 Squats
  • 5 Fastball Low and In
  • 10 Sit ups
  • 5 Fastball Low and Out
  • 10 Squats
  • 5 Fastballs 

Tuesday: Fastball Spots

  • Warm Up (fastball only)
    *Each pitch must be a strike in order to move to the next
  • 10 High and Up
  • 10 High and In
  • 10 Low and In
  • 10 Low and Out
  • 10 Low and Way Out
  • Repeat, but this time around every time you do not make it a strike you must do 2 push ups

Wednesday: Spins and Location

  • Warm Up (all pitches)
    *In between each pitch, throw one fastball
    ex: 1 Riser High and Out
    1 Fastball
    1 Riser High and Out
    1 Fastball
    1 Riser High and Out
    1 Fastball, and so on
    *Each pitch must be a strike in order to move to the next
  • 5 Riser High and Out
  • 5 Riser High and In
  • 5 Drop Low and In
  • 5 Drop Low and Out
  • 5 Curve High and Out
  • 5 Curve Low and Out
  • 5 Screw High and In
  • 5 Screw Low and In
  • 5 Change Up Low and Out
  • 5 Change Up Low and In

Thursday: Strength

  • Warm Up (Fastball Only)
  • 50 Pitches Of Down-Up Drill
  • 50 1-2-3 End Game Drill
  • 5 Min. Rapid Fire Drill

Saturday : Fastball Spots (Exact workout as Tuesday)

What do you need?

Those of you participating will be expected to do the following; 
  • Show up on time, and by on time I mean early 
  • Line your bags up, do not leave your equipment and bags scattered and sloppy. Line them up neatly and with everyone else's bags 
  • Bring 110% every day
  • Respect each other and your coaches, you are representing MMHS and are expected to live up to that standard of excellence as student athletes
  • Ask questions, if you do not ask you cannot expect to get better or the help that is necessary to improve your skill level
  • Have the right ATTITUDE!
  • Hustle everywhere you go and are asked to go 
  • Keep the field and field-house clean (No leaving garbage laying around, please be respectful and clean up after yourself and others) 
  • HAVE FUN!
