ORDER YOUR HOLIDAY APPAREL BY THIS THURSDAY, NOV 24TH!
Ladies,
What a great turn out we had last week for our parent's night! Thank you to all the parents that made it out to support your girls and the team. It was a very successful and fun night for us coaches and parents to watch your progress.
I want to recognize Bela Balser for winning the award for the 1st half of open gym. Bela has demonstrated, dedication, amazing work ethic, consistency and sportsmanship throughout the time we have had together. Bela, has only been playing softball for a handful of years and you would have never guessed that was the case. Congratulations Bela for setting the example and stepping up as a senior this year!
Now that we have some time off, I am going to stress again as I did last Thursday to not lose stride. You all have made great improvements this first half and lets keep the ball rolling into the new year and come back better than ever.
Here are some suggested ways to keep sharp through the holiday.
- Commit to 30 mins per day or a 2 hours per week doing the following,
- Throwing/playing catch
- Go for a jog
- Swing a bat
- Hit off a tee (hand extension drill, walk up, full swing)
- Everydays
- Throw a tennis ball against a wall and work on hand eye coordination
- Hit the batting cage
- Put a scheduled time weekly in your calendar on your phone with a reminder
- Plan to practice with a friend or family member
- Remind yourself that something is better than nothing
- Get on Instagram and watch hitting and fielding videos; save them and watch them 2-3 times a week for 15 minutes. This will train your brain and keep you motivated at the same time to keep up on your skill level.
Now, have a great break and we will see you in January!
I want to wish all of you a Happy Holiday!
